service is free to both you and your patients.
It does not require any action on your part, and fits in seamlessly with
the way you currently run your office.
How does EveryMD�s �Doctor E-Mailer�� service work?
To send a message to you using EveryMD�s
Doctor E-Mailer�
, a patient must use templates that are available at EveryMD�s
website at www.EveryMD.com. The patient
searches for you in our comprehensive doctor database, selects the type of
message (request for appointment or request for prescription refill) he or she
would like to send, enters information as specified in the corresponding
template, and clicks a �Send Now� button to send the message. EveryMD
converts the patient�s e-mail message into fax form and delivers it to your
regular office fax machine

Messages are limited to requests
for appointments and requests for
prescription refills only. The
design of the templates specifically prevents a patient from entering
information other than that necessary for the selected type of request
(appointment or prescription refill).
Patients are not
allowed to send medical questions, requests for urgent care, or otherwise seek
online consultations. EveryMD
does not provide templates for these types of messages and the templates for
prescription refills and appointment scheduling requests cannot be used for any
other purpose.
Messages are concise, consistent,
clear, and never exceed one page.
Surveys have consistently
shown that patients would like to be able to communicate with their physicians
online for appointments scheduling, prescription refills, and medical
consultations. While it is easy to
recognize the value and efficiency gains that can be attained by you and your
