What is EveryMD�s �Doctor E-Mailer�� service?
EveryMD�s
�Doctor E-Mailer��
service is a unique, free, patent-pending system that allows your office to receive online
prescription refill requests and requests for scheduling appointments from
patients on your office�s existing fax machine. The size and content of the messages delivered by EveryMD are
strictly controlled by EveryMD to prevent misuse.
Only two types of communications, namely short, concise
requests for prescription refills and for scheduling appointments, are
allowed. The Doctor E-Mailer� service does not permit requests for medical advice or
consultations, or any other kinds of communications, to be sent to you or
your office.
How does EveryMD�s �Doctor E-Mailer�� service work?
To send a message to you using EveryMD�s
Doctor E-Mailer�
, a patient must use templates that are available at EveryMD�s
website at www.EveryMD.com. The patient
searches for you in our comprehensive doctor database, selects the type of
message (request for appointment or request for prescription refill) he or she
would like to send, enters information as specified in the corresponding
template, and clicks a �Send Now� button to send the message. EveryMD
converts the patient�s e-mail message into fax form and delivers it to your
regular office fax machine

Messages are limited to requests
for appointments and requests for
prescription refills only. The
design of the templates specifically prevents a patient from entering
information other than that necessary for the selected type of request
(appointment or prescription refill).
Patients are not
allowed to send medical questions, requests for urgent care, or otherwise seek
online consultations. EveryMD
does not provide templates for these types of messages and the templates for
prescription refills and appointment scheduling requests cannot be used for any
other purpose.
Messages are concise, consistent,
clear, and never exceed one page.
Surveys have consistently
shown that patients would like to be able to communicate with their physicians
online for appointments scheduling, prescription refills, and medical
consultations. While it is easy to
recognize the value and efficiency gains that can be attained by you and your
office staff by allowing patients to send online requests for appointment
scheduling and prescription refills, allowing them to communicate with you for

designed templates provided at EveryMD�s website, messages are forced

communicate online with your office without
subjecting you or your office staff to the problems normally associated
with e-mail or Web-based patient/physician communication systems.
Can
my EveryMD e-mail address be used to send messages to me other than the messages
allowed to be sent using the templates provided at the EveryMD.com website ?
No.
Your EveryMD Doctor E-Mailer� e-mail address is a �virtual�
e-mail address that is usable only within our system. It is not a regular
e-mail address and cannot be used with regular e-mail programs.
If anyone tries to send a message to your EveryMD e-mail address
using their regular e-mail program, they will receive a reply message informing
them that their message is not deliverable and that to send you a message, they
must use the templates provided at the EveryMD.com website.
How
can I update information about me and/or my practice contained in EveryMD�s
database
To add, delete or update any information regarding you
or your practice, please contact us by clicking here and describe what you
would like updated.

sponsor/advertiser-supported. Revenues are generated from short advertisers�
messages that are appended to the fax message that is forwarded to your office,
